For Researchers

INFORMATION FOR SCIENTIFIC COLLABORATORS

The Sister Study welcomes collaborative research proposals from within NIH and the wider scientific community to use our data to study breast cancer and other women’s health topics.  All proposals will be reviewed by the Sister Study Steering Committee to insure scientific merit and to protect the integrity of the study and the confidentiality of our participants.  Acceptable study topics will take advantage of the unique characteristics of the Sister Study cohort, and must not have been previously planned or under consideration by Sister Study investigators.  If you are interested in learning more about the Sister Study and our questionnaires, please see the links below.  If you would like to propose a research project using Sister Study data, please contact Lisa DeRoo, MPH, PhD, Lead Investigator of the Sister Study and the Two Sister Study at NIEHS for more information on the application process.

BASELINE QUESTIONNAIRES

The Sister Study has completed recruitment and baseline activities. Baseline questionnaires along with brief descriptions are listed below.  These questionnaires are available in PDF format. If you use  these materials, please acknowledge as your source The Sister Study, Dale P. Sandler, Principal Investigator, www.sisterstudy.org; www.niehs.nih.gov/epi

The baseline data collection materials include three screening and enrollment applications, four self-administered forms, a two-part telephone interview divided into 15 sections and 20 modules on specific occupations, and a form completed by a mobile phlebotomist.

Thank you for your interest in the Sister Study.
