Curves
A research study with the size and scope of the Sister Study could not successfully recruit 50,000 women without the help of volunteers and volunteer organizations. Once in a while we are lucky enough to be mentioned by publications that have a wide circulation and are read by many potential study participants. Curves diane Magazine recently gave us a nice boost with a short article about the Sister Study in the Summer 2005 issue. The article, "Sister Act" has encouraged many women to enroll in the study, and they have cited diane Magazine or Curves as how they heard about the study. Curves' decision to include the study information in their valuable publication space at no cost has been a wonderful contribution to recruitment efforts.
